BACKGROUND //
Reading Health Systems is a network of hospitals and medical offices located in Reading, Pennsylvania, with Reading Hospital built within the heart of the city on top of hill.
PROBLEM //
After many expansions and physical wayfinding changes Reading Hospital was almost impossible to navigate without getting lost multiple times. Understanding their need for a digital signage solution to help solve their wayfinding challenges and make communicating with the employees and visitors easier was their first step but they were unsure of where to go from there.
STRATEGY & SOLUTION //
Starting with an on-site Visual Communications Strategy session where we conducted stakeholder interviews, toured the hospital, and conducted a UX workshop; we were able to come up with recommendations for their digital signage network that included wayfinder kiosks, employee communication signage, meeting room signage, and a complimentary phone app.
